Animal Lovers
If we are to take animals seriously then we need to change not only the way we see and act towards them, but also the way we think about them – not to mention the way we do science. It is only in the last few decades that animal ethics has been recognized as a philosophical discipline in its own right and in the historical, cultural and political sciences the recognition of human animal relations as a respectable theme has evolved even later - and remains controversial. For the project ANIMAL LOVERS contemporary texts and art positions which look at our relations to animals and which seek to elevate animals from the margins of our thoughts have been collected.
