Frank Dornseif
This small RealismusStudio publication is an A4-format booklet designed by the artist himself. It includes the text “Dualismus und Identität” (Duality and Identity) by curator Barbara Straka followed by an interview with the artist, a brief biography, and a number of plates in black-and-white, with an index. In his minimalist sculptures, Frank Dornseif, born 1948 in Radevormwald, deals with the human body, often visualizing the complexity and contradictions of love and sexuality. He mainly uses everyday building materials like rebars, plastic sheeting, and plaster. With their curves and metallic outlines, they often look like drawings in space.
