Hans-Dieter Tylle: Industriebilder
RealismusStudio 13. Hans-Dieter Tylle: Industry pictures
This thirteenth RealismusStudio publication is an A4-format loose-leaf folder dedicated to the artist Hans-Dieter Tylle, accompanied an exhibition and discussion event at the nGbK in the winter of 1980/1981. RealismusStudio supports artists who use typical, tradition-oriented approaches to realistic portrayal combined with political and social engagement. One such artist is the painter Hans-Dieter Tylle whose work deals with industrial labor, focusing specifically on the conveyor belt situation at the Volkswagen plant in Wolfsburg, the epitome of large-scale industrial mass production. The folder contains an introduction by Barbara Straka, a text by the artist on his vision of Volkswagen and correspondence between him and the company, color illustrations, and sketches of workers and machine parts.
